Web Page Loading Speed Critical

We have seen an interesting article from the BBC website regarding website page loading times and how it affects your online business.

The article can be viewed here.

Our website design incorporates the following technology to ensure your website loads as fast as possible.

  • All our websites use cache which increases common page requests to your website.
  • Your images are optimised for faster loading and we incorporate lazy load to show images when they are needed.
  • All our sites  also  produce an AMP optimised page to further increase loading times.
  • Your pages are also compressed to reduce page size which increases loading times

Compression can dramatically reduce your page’s size and thereby increase its speed. According to varvy, compression can knock off 50 – 70% from your HTML and CSS files! That’s a ton of data your visitor won’t have to download.

New Accelerated Mobile Pages (AMP)

AMP stands for Accelerated Mobile Pages, a Google-backed project intended as an open standard for any publisher to have pages load quickly on mobile devices.

Accelerated Mobile Pages are specially formatted web pages that enable Google Search to display content extremely fast, while ensuring that publishers control the way their content looks and feels.

Speed Up Your Website

Google will rank your website higher if it has faster loading times. One of our search engine optimisation (SEO) techniques at mOrsoft is to make your site load as fast as possible.

To achieve this we apply the following to all our new sites.

  1. Compress your site using gzip. This is an industry standard where your site is compressed on the server side so drastically reducing your page size by up to 70%.
  2. Cache your site. This method creates a copy of your most visited pages which reduces the loading on the database server.
  3. Use lazy load for your sites images. Images will only be downloaded on a page when they come into view. This is used by facebook and twitter.

The above together with our other SEO techniques will ensure your new site is ranked as high as possible on search engines, so attracting more visitors to your site.
